Dear Wildcat Families,

We know that both the federal government shutdown and potential changes to government support programs have created uncertainty and added stress for many households. If your family is feeling that impact, please know that you are not alone and we are here to help.

Making sure every student has access to the nutrition they need to learn and grow is one of our top priorities. Our district offers several confidential supports for families:

Free Breakfast for All Students
Every student can enjoy a free, nutritious breakfast at school each day — no forms or eligibility required.

Free and Reduced-Price School Meals
If your family’s circumstances have changed, you can apply or update your application at any point during the school year. Many more families qualify than realize it, and all information is kept strictly confidential. Click here to apply through SchoolCafe.

Weekend Food Bag Program
To help bridge the gap over weekends and breaks, each of our schools offer take-home food bags. If this would benefit your family, please reach out. Elementary families may click here to complete a form. Secondary families should contact their child’s school counselor, who can assist with enrollment.

Operation Wildcat
We are grateful for the generous partnership of Operation Wildcat, which supports students and families in a variety of ways. This November and December, programs include Project Thanksgiving, Project Tannenbaum, and Project Gift Box to help families during the holiday season. Click here to learn more or register for support.

Community Resources
Our area offers a number of additional food assistance programs. Click here for a list of local food pantries and services throughout the community (please note that this is not an all-inclusive list and resources are subject to change).

For our families who are able to give, please consider supporting the local community organization of your choice, to include Operation Wildcat and any of their upcoming Projects. Click here to learn more about Operation Wildcat.

Please remember: asking for help is a sign of strength and care for your family. We want every Wildcat household to feel supported, welcomed, and connected. If you have questions or need assistance accessing any of these resources, please do not hesitate to contact your school office. We are grateful to partner with you in caring for your child.

With Wildcat Pride,
Andy Bitz
